The visuals were awesome and made it very creepy and cool. Really well done, especially for a first release and a game jam.

In "The Thing From Space" by Liminal Road Studios, players step into the shoes of George, a geologist intrigued by reports of peculiar occurrences surrounding a newly formed meteorite crater. Eager to study the phenomenon up close, George sets up camp near the crater to examine the soil and unravel its mysteries. However, as night falls, an unforeseen event shakes the tranquil setting. Another meteorite crashes down, heralding the arrival of an otherworldly entity with malevolent intentions.Suddenly thrust into a fight for survival, George finds himself pursued by the unearthly being unleashed by the second meteorite. With adrenaline pumping and fear gripping his heart, players must navigate through the dark, treacherous terrain while evading the relentless pursuit of the creature from beyond. As the tension escalates and the line between reality and nightmare blurs, "The Thing From Space" delivers a gripping and adrenaline-fueled horror experience that keeps players on the edge of their seats.
I loved It! I cant wait for the final project! It totally reminds me of HP Lovecraft's Color from Space! Is the final project going to be one big story or a bunch of short stories?

Very impressive game jam submission. The only thing I could've done without was the character's breathing/short running distance.

would love to play this since the opening seems stylish and polished but I can't find anything to interact with after setting up the camp and I was wandering around the forest from 10 minutes trying to find something to progress things. Really needs better direction
Sorry about that, you need to interact with the suitcase near the tent entrance, we will work on better player guidance systems next week after the DreadXP Gamejam is over.
After interacting with the suitcase you need to scroll mouse to use the soil analyzer thingy.
