Not bad, when will come out the full game?
The demo's really well made and even brings in a unique idea in color when the monster is chasing you. Nice job. Keep it up.

Was the grayscale inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's "The Color Out of Space?" The title is rather similar to yours, and I like how making whatever came from space feel more alien by making have actual color. I think it's rather similar to his story about a strange color that no one has seen before coming to Earth on a meteorite and infecting the land around it.
My thoughts exactly. I saw the title and immediately thought "iS tHAt lOvE-FReAkIng-cRaFT oN My Itch.io pAgE!??" Gotta say, I'm excited to check it out now!
(TCOOS is my favorite LC story if it wasn't already obvious.)
I learned about it from the OSP video about Lovecraft, and at some point later I learned that it inspired the corruption biome in Terraria

I loved It! I cant wait for the final project! It totally reminds me of HP Lovecraft's Color from Space! Is the final project going to be one big story or a bunch of short stories?

Very impressive game jam submission. The only thing I could've done without was the character's breathing/short running distance.

would love to play this since the opening seems stylish and polished but I can't find anything to interact with after setting up the camp and I was wandering around the forest from 10 minutes trying to find something to progress things. Really needs better direction
Sorry about that, you need to interact with the suitcase near the tent entrance, we will work on better player guidance systems next week after the DreadXP Gamejam is over.
After interacting with the suitcase you need to scroll mouse to use the soil analyzer thingy.
